The ETSU Division of Theatre & Dance offers professional training in a liberal arts setting. We prepare undergraduate students for careers in the performing arts and theatre education by providing a broad-based foundation in theatre and dance through individualized mentoring. Our diverse faculty, comprised of working professional artists dedicated to advancing the discipline, offer instruction in stage and film performance, dramaturgy, design and technology, and unique areas such as Aerial Dance and Entertainment Rigging. Our program is distinct in that it focuses on addressing each student’s needs whether she or he seeks a career as performer, designer, technician, educator or other chosen profession. We strive to produce well-rounded graduates who are skilled in thinking critically and who contribute as artists and citizens to the life of their communities, the region, and the larger society.
